A day in the life of an LPN Licensed Practical Nurse or MA Medical Assistant

  • Greet and prepare patients for physician exam
  • Collect patient history
  • Perform general nursing care
  • Dispense and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
  • Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments
  • Efficiently document medical information utilizing proper protocols and policies
  • Prepare equipment and aid providers during treatment, exam, and testing
  • Special projects: lab sheets, referrals, and charts
  • Flexibility to cover vacations

 

LPN Licensed Practical Nurse or MA Medical Assistant qualifications:

  • Certificate of Medical Assisting required or LPN certification
  • 3 years of Clinical medical experience, required
  • Immunizations experience required
  • Exceptional patient care
  • Communication skills
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Familiarity with EMR preferred
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patient’s needs and responses to care

 

Schedule: early start is 7:15 and close is about 6 p.m. ~ a mixture of start and end times to complete a full schedule.
